Laila Abu-Er-Rub
About
Laila Abu-Er-Rub received her M.A. degree in Cultural Anthropology, Religious Studies (both at Heidelberg university) and Media Studies (University of Mannheim). Her dissertation entitled “Goldene Zeiten: Mode und Körper im neoliberalen Indien (Golden Times: fashion and body in neoliberal India)” describes and analyses the institutionalisation of Indian fashion design and related changing modes of dress and body practices. Her research for SINGLE revolves around professional single women in the creative industries. Furthermore, Laila coordinates the HERA SINGLE project.
